With a hastag like #goodwinning2016 (and a bride with a fondness for sunflowers) you know this wedding day is going to be a blast! The Lucky Lemon Team fell in love with Mart and Dev when we first got to meet them during one of their quick trips to Florida from the Golden State. The sweethearts who met at University, were so fun, laid back and genuine that we knew their wedding film would be an authentic reflection of their personalities. One of the aspects of wedding cinema that we cherish is the chance to capture each couple and their individuality. Just like people, each wedding has its own personality and Mart and Dev’s was one of quirkiness, silliness and so much love between the newlyweds as well as all their amazing family and friends. And, of course, Oxford Exchange was the perfect venue for all the positive energy and excitement of the day!

The Lucky Lemon team loves Sarasota and is always excited to shoot at any of its gorgeous venues like the Ritz Carlton Beach Club! Newlyweds Becca and Brian chose this lovely location to start their lives together as husband and wife. But what happens when you wake up on your big day to find gray skies and stormy weather? That’s where the expertise of someone like Melanie from NK Weddings comes into play! She stepped right and swiftly made a few location changes (and seamlessly) made everything come together, all while the sky was opening up! Even more amazing was how easy-going and relaxed Becca and Brian were, even though their original plans had changed. The sweet couple shared their first look with the sound of raindrops in the background, bridal shots under an umbrella, and they danced the night away celebrating their new future. This is what we call the magic and strength of true love.

What a fun experience to be a part of Erin and Ryan’s wedding celebrations in both Naples and their hometown, St. Louis. The sweet couple decided to have an intimate ceremony in Naples, FL where they could really focus on the nuptials with their closest of friends. After returning from their honeymoon, the newlyweds planned a large celebration in their hometown of St. Louis to really rock the night away with everyone who is so special to them and helped shape them into the amazing people they are today! The Lucky Lemon Films team was asked to create a video highlight of the Naples nuptials to be shown and shared with all the St. Louis guests.

For the Naples wedding we couldn’t wait to shoot 16mm film and capture the beauty of the location and the details with such a fabulous medium. We think you’ll agree that the 16mm+HD mix is simply devine. We also fell head over heels for all the beautiful “lemony” details! YES! LEMONS EVERYWHERE! From the florals to the signature drinks, the Lucky Lemon team was surrounded by all the zesty and bright tropical elegance of our favorite fruit!

Grab your popcorn, and maybe a lemonade, and enjoy Erin and Ryan’s Naples Wedding Story!

Art of Dance // a behind-the-scenes look // w/Lissa Hatcher Photography from Lucky Lemon Films on Vimeo.

It’s not everyday that we get to shoot beautiful ballerinas baking cakes and throwing flour and that is just but a small part of this fantastic shoot dreamed up but the incredibly talented expressionistic photographic artist Lissa Hatcher of Lissa Hatcher Photography. Lucky Lemon Films was very lucky to have been there to capture the essence of the day and all the hard work and dedication that it takes to make something magical! We had an opportunity to shoot with a new High-Speed camera (Sony FS700) to capture all the slo-mo shots in the film. These were captured at 240fps so the result is quite dramatic and quite stunning! The rest of the shots were captured on our new Canon C100 Cinema Camera. Zac (the newest addition to the LLF team) and Bryan had a lot of fun playing with the gear and trying to keep the flour off of it!
